Your 2010/11 Avalanche are looking to get back into the NHL playoffs after being eliminated by the San Jose Sharks last season. In the offseason draft, the team selected Joey Hinshon with the 17th overall draft selection. In the early part of the season, the team lost its #1 Goaltender Craig Anderson after he injured his knee in pre game warm-ups. In late November, RW Chris Stewart broke his left hand in a fight and is expected to be out until at least early January.
